This navigational tool enables open-water navigation without reliance on a GPS device. It utilizes the phone's camera to capture observations of celestial bodies such as the sun, moon, Venus, and Mars. The application effectively plots sighting data as lines of position, combining multiple observations into a dynamic running fix. The estimated position is then displayed on a latitude and longitude grid for easy reference. Additionally, the system supports traditional navigation methods by allowing the use of a sextant, complemented by an integrated almanac and plotting tools to enhance accuracy and reliability.
